KP Astrology is the only predictive tool in astrology. It is created from Vedic astrology. Shri KS has actually fine-tuned the method of deriving houses known as cusps.
Firstly I would suggest everyone to have a basic understanding of Vedic astrology. Start your journey by understanding the significance of 12 houses and 9 planets in the horoscope.
KP Astrology is derived out of Vedic only. Rather KP is the predictive tool. In KP the Star lord give main results, and if sub lord supports that event then event will occur, else one will not get the final outcome.
Vedic astrology is the oldest form of Indian astrology that depends on the movement of 9 planets in a person’s life. This branch of astrology can’t be learnt within a day. This is a complex form of science, and you need to have intuitive skills to become a good Vedic astrologer.
KP is a new version that is less complicated and easily understood by any person who wants to predict astrology events.
There are many free software’s that show star lord and sub lords
I have explained on Horosoft.
We need to see lagna chart, bhav chalit and cusp house chart. You can see video on -Difference between KP and Vedic Astrology.
In a horoscope you see 12 signs and 12 houses
Like Aries sign. It is of 30 degree, this comprises of 2 and half stars..
Each star is further divided into 9 parts. This is called sub-lord.
A sign is divided into 3 parts
Just remember that in KP sub lord is most important.
To analyse any life event check the cusp script. Like -1st house cusp
Saturn….Is Saturn self significator?
This Means when Saturn is not seen as star lord of any planet. So then take Saturn as star lord only. Also check Saturn in cusp chart. Check video on KP rules and then see how to analyse 1st house cusp script. The 1st cusp script should be analysed before checking any other life event.
This states one’s basic temperament, health, appearance and approach in life.
How to know does the chart needs BTR?
Make a list of ruling planets, and for this you need to make a Prashna chart of the moment
Check 1st cusp script…note the planets.
Now these planets should be in the ruling planets, if not then you will have to check the time, and increase or decrease few minutes. This will change the sub lord.
For example – If Saturn is the 1st house cusp sub lord, and involving sub 1 6 8, this states that the person has some health issues. If this does not match with the person then you can increase few minutes, and see the next sub lord mercury script.
See which script is matching with the personality.
Check the video, on BTR, I have explained other ways as well.
And if you don’t have birth time at all, then you can make a Prashna chart of your time, and place while casting the horoscope.
Learn more in the KP Astrology course on Prashna Chart Analysis.
Remember the Combinations…..2 7 11 are favourable for marriage and 1 6 10 are unfavourable for marriage.
When 8th and 12th house gets linked with 1 6 10 then it gives severe marriage problems.
Check the 7th house cusp script. And see the videos on…
Practice on horoscopes and see how marriage combinations work differently in each chart.
Check the following scripts to understand about profession in the horoscope…
Keep in mind that the Favourable combinations for career are 2 6 11 and unfavourable are 5 8 12, 1 5 9, 5 8, and 5 12
See the videos on
Then practice on charts and make notes. Like if you have to analyse career, you should know significance of each house.
To check disease in the horoscope, note down the following combinations.
In a Vimshottari Dasha sequence, you will see a timeline where planets have been allotted a precise number of years to give results. Now Most important is Mahadasha, followed by Antardasha. And then Pratyantar, Suksham, and Pran Dasha finally deliver the results assigned by MD and AD planets.
See the videos on
Check the dasha period and see the favourable and unfavourable times for any event. So my perspective is that the beginning dasha plays a significant role, and there is a reason why a person is born with that particular dasha.
As the dasha period proceeds, your life events take place, and unfavourable dasha, can bring a turning point, So if weak one can face loss, but if the next dasha is strong, then that favourable dasha will give all those life events, that you had missed in not so favourable times.
So it can be getting promoted at a later age, or it can be fame and success at a later age. You should be able to analyse, what dasha will manifest what event.
To improve your understanding of KP astrology, start by analyzing the horoscopes of your friends or loved ones. Begin with Birth Time Rectification (BTR) and focus on interpreting the 1st cusp, which provides insights into the person’s traits, likes, and approach to life.
Next, examine their horoscopes for marriage and career predictions. Keep in mind the favorable and unfavorable combinations. To gain deeper insights, check the ongoing timeline (Dasha and Bhukti) to predict future events.
Initially, you may find it challenging to predict life events or understand the combinations. However, by comprehending the meaning of each house and planet in a particular context, you’ll gradually improve. Practice this daily on different horoscopes.
Remember, persistence and practice are key to mastering KP astrology.
Read the blog posts on each topic and watch video related to that topic and then practice on daily basis.
If you want to pursue Astrology as a profession, then I would highly recommend to purchase KP Astrology Course – Master the horoscope readings.
